The Show Labels button allows you to toggle whether the group/process order labels are shown in the list and the viewport. The labels are different to the process numbers in that they are selectable and number the groups (when at group level) and the processes within the selected group (when at process level) rather than numbering all of the processes on the plate all at once.

Labels are turned on automatically when the Reorder Range option is selected.
