Countersinking of small holes

The countersinking of small holes up to about 25mm (1") can be achieved by loading the appropriate sized countersink bit in the Kinetic machine and using it as a spot drill. The drill depth you specify must be found by trigonometry or trial and error. Eg if you want a 3mm wide countersink using a 45 degree bit you will have to drill 3mm deep. However you will have to account for the distance from the tip of the bit to where the cutting face first contacts the internal hole [D] due to the cone shape of the bit.
