A Marking tool can be created to apply text or geometric marking to the top surface of the plate.

Tool options that supply marking capability:

•XPR, HPR Plasma systems support marking processes (see Process Delegates )

•Arcwriter arc marking devices

•Scribing with the spindle using a spring-loaded engraver bit

•Simple sprung pen systems and the like.

•Inkjet markers- very good for fast text marking is used regularly. (uses a raster scanline)

•Pinstamp Markers- very good for fast text marking (uses a fast subaxis)

•Stamp Wheel- Uses a character wheel to indent characters into the plate. Not good for geometric marking.
