Select Similar (Geometry)
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Geometry Editing > Geometry Editor Reference > Geometry Context Menu > Select Similar (Geometry) |
This will select all other geometric entities with exactly the same characteristics as those which are currently selected. You could use this to select all circles of a particular size for example, any circles that have even a slightly different size will not be selected.
In the Geometry Editor the following rules are used to determine similarity:
If the geometry is a path, it will select all pother geometry of a similar size and shape:
Lines are Similar if they are the same length
Arcs are Similar if they have the same radius and swept angle
Composite Paths are similar if they have the same number of segments, and each segment (line or arc) is similar as defined above
If the geometry is a point, it will select all points.
If the geometry is text it will select all text entities (regardless of the content of the text).
If the geometry is a dimension, it will select all dimensions of a similar type, eg radial dimensions are all similar to each other, angular dimensions match angular dimensions etc.
