Server Dependencies- Delay Server Restart

You may be prompted with warnings about this during a test run, the test run will simply continue.  No updates are applied during the test run, so no restarts are required yet.  If you receive the warning during an update run, dependencies will be updated, and a server update may be required but it can be delayed as described below.

Part of the server install and server update process is to check that dependencies have been installed:

Firebird ODBC Drivers - require Microsoft Visual C++ Runtimes v10 (VC++ 2010)

OpenCascade  - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtimes v14  (VC++ 2015-2019)

If

either of these need to be updated on your server

and

they are in use by other apps running on the server

then

your server may need to restart; having the server restart midway through the semi-automatic update process in particular is disruptive, so we suggest answering no when prompted to restart, and instead performing the restart when the Primecut update has completed.  Usually it is the v14 runtimes which need updating, as the version yoy are updating from also depended on the v10 Runtimes and thus they are almost always already present.  OpenCascade suppiort is only needed if you are running the Primecut Client , and really only needed if opening 3D parts files, though the client will wan you anyway if the files are missing, but carry on.  So...

If prompted that dependencies have been updated and the server must be restarted, answer NO. Complete the update, then restart the server.
