These operate like the Cut, Copy and Paste commands you will encounter in any other Windows based application.

Be aware that when you use Paste, the geometry will be placed in the same location as the original geometry. You may need to use ALT+Select to select the pasted item in order to move it to another location. Alternatively the Copy Selection function may be more practical.
