Cutting a Test Part to Check Tolerances

In cases where there are a number of different sized holes to be drilled on each part the most efficient and effective sequence is generally achieved using groupings, usually by applying zones. This means that all of the holes of a certain size will be drilled before moving to the next sized hole, and as a result all of the parts in the group will be partially processed before any are completed.
While this technique helps to minimize the time spent performing tool changes, it can be a problem if you need to check part tolerances or simply that the correct processing is being applied in terms of hole diameters and the like. In that situation it is best to completely cut one part before continuing on to process the nest.
You can achieve this using the Revert Part feature. This will take all of the processes for the selected part, group them under that part, then remove the part from the group that it was in and place it at the very beginning of the sequence. It is good practice to insert a pause after the part is cut so that the operator can be prompted to check it before continuing.
