To create horizontal text:

1.Select the Text tool

2.Select the Insert point (bottom-left of the text)

3.Enter the text (the text will be displayed directly on the screen, the cursor point is indicated by a blue line)

4.Press the ENTER key to confirm the new text

Step 3 Notes:
The cursor position may be changed by using the arrow keys.
A range of text may be selected by holding down the SHIFT key and using the arrow keys.

Multiline Text

 

Use \p in the text to create a linebreak.  For emaple, "1234\p56789" will appear as:

56789
