Area Layer

Area Layer

 

The area layer menu gives the user options to:

 

Edit Area Layer

This creates an area layer if one doesn't exist and makes all other layers temporarily invisible. The user can then freely draw geometry to the area layer, which will not affect part processing, just nesting and part weight calculations. This mode persists until the editor is deactivated or the Done Editing Area Layer button is clicked (area layer editing mode is shown by the toolbar button caption for Area Layer now being highlighted and reading EDITING AREA LAYER!

Create Area Layer

Creates an area layer if it doesn't exist and copies closed paths to it.

 

Delete Area Layer

Deletes the area layer

 

Show Layers

Opens the layers menu, see Working With Layers.
