1Click on the Parts module from the main screen.

2Click on the New 2D Shape button in the top left corner of the screen.

You can create parts from 2D shapes in the Workorders module too.

3Click on the Shapes tab on the navigator.  You will find the "Blank Part" at the top of the window:

4Click Next. Click Finish.

5In the Properties window under Material/Thickness Choose Mild Steel, 16mm.

6In the Properties window under Name delete Untitled and enter 'SlottedPart'.
