The leadout style depends on the Handling Of Drop Cuts settings for the tool in use:
This controls whether leadouts should be placed on "small" internal cuts ("drops"). For plasma in particular we do not want leadouts on drops because as the drop cut completes, it is likely to fall into the table away from the torch, thereby stretching the arc until it "pops" (bad for the electrode) and also stretching it sideways (the part will rarely fall straight down) which can gouge the nozzle orifice, and lead to reduce cut quality on subsequent cuts.
Drop Size Limit
If either the width or height of the cut path geometry is less than the Drop Size Limit, the cutout is considered likely to drop. This setting also affects Pierce Centrally On Small Holes.
