NC CODE WARNING
When milling using Depth words, a D0 command instructs the mill to go to the bottom of the plate. This can be triggered accidentally if the program is trying to position the mill very close to the surface of the plate and rounding causes it to become zero. Note you cannot ask the mill to move exactly to the surface of the plate in Depth mode, as D0 triggers the special case "full depth" as in drilling.
The best solution is to use Z Mode instead, which has no special cases equivalent to D0, all Z coordinates mean exactly what they specify, and Z0 is the top of the plate.
