SmartCluster: Multicut Strip

 

 

 

By setting the MultiCut Torch Count to a number greater than 1, we can have the machine strip the parts with multiple torches.  You cannot set the MultiCut Torch Count to a value more than the tools BoxCount (how many torches are installed that can cut in parallel) in the Machines section.

 

 

In this example we are Stripping 5 long flanges, using 3 torches in two passes:

This functionality works so long as the common cuts are straight lines.  They do not have to be the same length either; the following example show 5 trapeziums being cut in one pass with 6 torches at once, note how the top cut is longer than it needs to be, as this torch is simply mirroring what its master is doing.
