Trapdoor Tool Settings

The trapdoor tool is used on pass-through machines to drop cut parts from the plate; it is variously know as a trapdoor, dropper, dump.

Trapdoor Format How a trapdoor command is written.  Two argumnets of the form Xxxx and Yxxx can be provided via %s arguments, typically to tell the controller where to drop.  Often only an X word is needed.  For Touchcut machine sthis is typically G25P0Q0%s%s

Trapdoor Center Position  Where the trapdoor is located, via its X midpoint.  Also sets the toll's "tool offset X".

Trapdoor Aperture How wide the trapdoor is (typically X direction width), and thus how "long" a part can be dropped.  Used in gripper planning also.

Trapdoor Height Height of the trapdoor, typically the machine width

Include Offset in Start Codes Some 3rd party machines may need this to include the Trapdoor center Position in the Trapdoor Format X word.

Aperture Part Placement When dropping parts where to place them over the trapdoor: 0 center, 1, align left edge, 2 align right edge.

Trapdoor Tooth Length Length of teeth on entry side of trapdoor; to be avoided if possible when dropping parts

Trapdoor Tooth Width  For display only; typically  the same as the Trapdoor Height
