Once you have finished editing a quote and have given your price to the customer, click on the Post button. This will set the values in the quote so that they can't be changed, effectively freezing it in time. In this way, if costs such as the cost of purchasing the material change, you still have a record of the price you quoted to the customer.

Only once a quote has been posted are you given the option to Win or Requote.

A Posted quote can be returned to its Editing state with the Edit button, this should only be used if the quote has not yet been sent to the customer.

Posted quotes continue to show up under Active when searching until they are won or cancelled.
