DSTV File Format Information

As mentioned earlier, a DSTV file can be used to represent various type of sections. Currently only support for plate sections (known as B-profiles) is provided.

A DSTV file is organized in blocks (the header being one also), each corresponding to a feature of the part, for e.g. a continuous path or hole treatments. If there is an error in a particular block or if it is not supported then it is skipped over to allow the rest of the file to be processed. If this happens, a warnings dialog is shown after to alert the user of any errors that occurred during import.
