Some settings for the License Service are stored in the file \PC4\License64\PC4LicSvc.cfg which is read each time the service starts.

 

[License]

This section contains general License Service settings

IPv4

Use IP v4, defaults to True

IPv6

Use IP v4, defaults to False

CheckRelease

This defaults to True, set to false to disable client release number checking.

MinRelease

This is usually blank, but can be used to override the default minimum client release that can connect.  From Release 133, release checking ensures that all clients connecting are at the same release as the license server,  eg 4.133.xxx clients can connect to a 1.133.yyy license server.

 

[SUS]

This section contains settings for the Software Update Service.

[SUS-SSL]

This section contains settings for SUS to navigate SSL certificates etc. (Advanced, Kinetic use only)

 

 

[Backup]
These settings are normally set interactively from the license server GUI, see Configuring Backup.
