Setting up Delegates in Touchcut

To enable process delegates in TouchCut go to Advanced>Tools and select the Plasma tool. Scroll down to Process Delegates Parameters, set the Delegate Count to 1 and click Store. Now Scroll back down and select Delegate 1 Name as marking from the drop-down list (Kinetic recommends only using delegates for marking and using the SmartHPR post in PrimeCut for the other plasma processes).

You can now set up the marking delegate for each plasma process. To do this go to the Materials page and select the plasma process you wish to set up the delegate for. Then scroll down to the Process Delegate parameters and select the 1: Marking parameter. From the drop-down list select the marking process you want to use when this cutting process is being used. It makes sense to select the marking process that uses the same consumables as the cutting process so the operator doesn't need to change consumables, but you may have reasons for choosing a different process here.

Now when a program is written in PrimeCut NE that uses a delegates marking tool, this marking process will be used for the marking if the parent process has been chosen for the cutting.

To set up process delegates in TouchCut you will need TouchCut version 6.5.405 or later.
