Using common crop we can easily create crop lines to separate the skeletons around our cut parts from the rest of the plate. This will be particularly useful if you are using a Plate Dragger machine where the plate (and any skeleton) is moved around in order to cut different sections as it reduces what is being moved around. See Common Line and Common Crop Cutting.
1Open the workorders mode and open the workorder with invoice number Processing: Bridging.
2Select the workorder from the workorders explorer and Click Open Workorder in Nesting.
3Click Create New Plate. Enter the following details and Add to Stock and Close.
Plate Material |
GR250(A36), 8.00 mm |
Width |
600 mm |
Length |
1000 mm |
4Nest the Bridging Rectangle part on the plate and use 3 separate arrays to create the columns shown below. Common crop only works on columns of parts.
5Select the right most array and click Smart Cluster. Choose Common Crop, with the columns aligned to the left. Click Done.
6Repeat this for the other two columns.
7The default straight crop will leave a strip with the two rectangles cut out - not easy to reuse. To change this, click the cluster of the two rectangles. Drag the green circle to the bottom right corner.
8The plate is now ready for processing.
9Close the module without saving.
