Editing and Setting a Pickup Plan

A user specified plan can be prepared by moving and rotating the unloader head to the desired position above the part and then turning on the magnets to be used.

Controls

The unloader head has two sets of control handles for making changes.

The first set are the blue movement handles, one for head rotation, one for dragging the head around and the final for magnet expansion for unloaders with magnets on expandable sleds.

As the head or magnets are moved each magnet will automatically turn on/off as it enters or exits the part.

Warning messages will appear in the top left of the window if the plan is deemed unsafe.

The second set of controls are for manually turning each magnet on/off.  If you double click the center of each magnet the on/off state will toggle.

If one of the movement control handles happens to sit over the magnet on/off handle holding the SHIFT key down will hide the movement handles.

All Magnets can be turned on/off by right clicking and choosing "Turn all magnets on" or "Turn all magnets off"

Geometry filtering

These values have no effect on a user specified pickup plan.

Maximum lift settings

Individual magnet values are shown here and the values are dependent on part thickness as magnet lift capability various due to plate thickness.

Lift values will be considerably higher for thick plate dropping down to very small lift capabilities for thin plate.

Setting and Activating a User Specified Plan

Once you have the desired plan completed and reviewed all warnings click on 'Use This Plan Only' and then save the part.

Saving will create a new part revision and the changes therefore will only apply to newly nested parts so if any jobs were already scheduled they well need to be unscheduled, updated and re-scheduled.
