PlateDragger Programming

Smartcluster now provides alternative techniques for efficient cutting of passthrough machines
See in particular:

SmartCluster: Common Line and Common Crop Cutting

Skeleton Breakup using SmartCluster

Platedragger, or Passthrough, machines require special consideration when generating programs.  Because the plate is moving backwards and forwards we must take care in the order we nest and cut parts to:

1.Preserve the stability and accuracy of the plate handling transport system

2.Operate the trapdoor(s) efficiently to remove small parts

3.Break up the skeleton progressively

CRITICAL In order for Primecut to accurately predict and avoid tool/gripper collisions in its gripper planning, it must have up to date settings.   These can be updated from the machine, see Import Machine Files.
