Align Edge

Used to rotate a selected part (or parts) so that an indicated edge on one aligns with an edge of another part or an X or Y axis. Alt-A is a shortcut for this, and there is an Align Edge button on the Nesting Editor toolbar.

To align one part:

1.Press Alt-A

2.Move the mouse over the edge you want to align on the part you want to move, the edges will highlight as the mouse moves.  Click when ready.

3.Move the mouse over the edge you wish to align to.  You can also select one of the four "box edges" that are displayed to achieve an axis alignment.  As the mouse moves, the target edges will highlight and you will see a preview of where the part will end up.  Click when happy, or press Esc to cancel.

To align a group of parts, select the group first, then proceed to step 1 above.
