Interaction with Quote Mode is largely very similar to working in Workorder Mode.  Quotes have a similar structure, being composed of a header with customer and identification information, and a list of line items referencing quantities of parts to cut, as well as possibly extra processing.

Quotes are created in the Editing state.  They should be Posted before they are sent to the customer; this freezes the pricing data within them, so that you and the customer always see the same parts and prices when referring to a posted quote.

Posted Quotes can be "turned into" workorders by winning them (in fact a copy of the quote is created and converted to a workorder, so the original quote is preserved).

Quotes can be part based or nested onto dummy plates; the latter is generally more accurate.
