Workorder Mode

A Workorder or Job is a set of Line Items to be cut for a single customer, grouped together by some order detail (eg Invoice number, Purchase Order etc).  The workorder must be associated with a customer, and can optionally have a separate Delivery Address specified.  A workorder also has a Due Date.

Each Line Item refers to a single Part, and adds Quantity and other information about the requirements for this part within the workorder. Piecemark and Extra Processing are Line Item properties.  A single part can be referenced by many line items across many workorders, thus supporting the ability to reorder and recut the same parts.

The Workorder Explorer shows workorders that you have have open in your current session; you can have multiple workorders open at once, but at any one time only one can be Active in the editor.  The Workorder Explorer will always be visible in Workorder Mode.

The Workorder Selector allows you to select existing workorders in the database so you can View, Edit or Report on them.  You can simply double click a workorder in the selector to load it from the database into your local session for editing.  The workorder Selector itself is considered an "Editor", and will be replaced by other Editors on this screen on demand, for example the Workorder Editor, or the Part Processing editor.

The Parts Area is used when editing a workorder, and in particular when editing the parts the workorder line items refer to.
