Parts Area

The Workorder Selector allows you to select existing workorders in the database so you can View, Edit or Report on them.  You can simply double click a workorder in the selector to load it from the database into your local session for editing.  The workorder Selector itself is considered an "Editor", and will be replaced by other Editors on this screen on demand, for example the Workorder Editor, or the Part Processing editor.

It is also useful for monitoring the progress of a workorder through, nesting, scheduling cutting and dispatch.

Filters

The top of the selector contains the filters you can use to narrow your search down within the database.  A large database may contain tens or hundreds of thousands of workorders; we don't want to see all of them.  The top left filter, and the button below it, provide quick access to a number of common filters:

Be careful when selecting Show All to ensure some other filters are applied, or the system may hang for some time querying thousands of workorders from the database to display.

We strongly recommend closing completed workorders so that the list of Active Workorders remains manageable; this will help performance here and in Nesting Mode.

You can also search for a Part Name, a Piecemark, or by Invoice number (shown as Job No here) , Purchase Order or Quote Number.  Wild cards are supported (eg P12* will match P12, P123 and P123A-45 etc), and filter by Customer.

After setting up the filters, press Refresh (If a show recent filter has been performed this button changes to Show Older, as above, and will show the next 30 oldest relevant items)

Workorder List

The workorders listed in a tabular view as shown.  You can adjust the sizes and order of the columns by dragging them around in the header bar.  If you click on a column the table will be sorted by that column; click again reverses the order of the sort.  You can Right-Click on the column headers to display a menu (below) allowing you to turn off columns you are not interested in.  However you customize this view, it will be stored in your user settings, so you can tailor it once to your needs.

Header Context Menu

This shows the list of columns, uncheck them to make them invisible.  Some column names may vary depending on Custom Naming.

Lines and Parts refer respectively to the number of Line Items and the total number of parts represented by each workorder.

Cut Prog and Dispatch Prog respectively show pie charts showing cutting progress and dispatch progress.  When a single workorder is selected its progress is shown at the bottom of the screen

You can also export the contents of the List as displayed, see Exporting Grid Views.
