Primecut runs a sweep called Check Leads at certain times, such as after processing parts on the plate.  This checks all existing leads ( and corner loops) on the plate (that are not Locked) for intersections with other parts and the plate.  If they are cross intersect, they are shrunk or removed.  Occasionally when this happens there will be displayed a message saying "Leadins could not be placed. Use XLeads to see problem areas".  When you press the Show XLeads button PrimeCut will display short red lines at the locations where leads could not be placed. You can then identify the problem areas more easily and modify the lead locations.

 

There is a User Setting (ALT-U) on the Processing tab , in the section Check Leads... Run Automatically.  When checked leads on ALL processing is checked whenever a part is nested, or processing is applied on the plate.
