Current License Information
A license is the file you register, held in a numbered slot; the seats it carries are what your users occupy when they run PrimeCut.
Unexpired Seats is the total across every installed block, counting only blocks that have not expired - an expired block stays in the list but contributes nothing. Where a Reserve ERP License extra is held, the reserved seat is shown separately, as in 4 + 1 reserved for ERP.
Seats In Use is how many are occupied right now.
License Blocks lists every block installed on this machine, one per slot, with its seat count, its expiry if it has one, and any extras it carries.
Selecting a block shows its detail in the Slot panel below - that block's own Seats, License Expiry and Extras, rather than the site totals. License Expiry should read Unlimited unless you hold a trial or some other temporary arrangement with Kinetic.
Remove Selected Block uninstalls the selected block and reduces the seat total by that block's seats.
NOTE Slot 1 is your primary registration and cannot be removed - the button stays disabled when it is selected. To change it, register a replacement license file over the top.
License Blocks and Slots
Seats are held in numbered slots. Each license file you register occupies one slot, and your seat total is the sum across all of them. Extra seats are therefore added by registering a further license file alongside the existing registration - you do not need a replacement license covering the whole site, and slot 1 is left untouched.
IMPORTANT Registering a license replaces the seats in the slot it targets - it does not add to them. A slot holding 30 seats, sent a license for 5, ends up with 5. To go from 30 seats to 35, either request 35 for that slot or request 5 against a different slot.
License Request
License Slot chooses which slot the request targets. Selecting an existing slot fills Seats Requested and Extras with what that slot currently holds, so you can see what you are changing; choosing an unused slot clears them ready for a new block. Clicking a block in the list selects its slot too.
Seats Requested is the total the slot should end up with, not an amount to add. The label beside it shows the effect on that slot - No Change, or +5 seats / -5 seats.
Company Name is critical - do not change it once set, as it may break your ability to download updates. It can only be edited for slot 1; for an additional block it is locked, because a further block belongs to the same customer.
Trial License marks the request as a trial. Comment is free text for anything Kinetic should know about the request.

Some features are licensed separately from your seat count. Tick the ones you need in the Extras list before sending the request:

Extras are recorded against the block that carries them, so an extra can be added later on its own license file without disturbing your seats.
Registration Procedure
NOTE Users DO NOT need to log off PrimeCut for a license update
1.Set License Slot to the slot you are licensing - an existing slot to change it, or an unused one for an additional block.
2.Complete the License Request fields and tick any Extras required.
3.Send the request to Kinetic, either with Send to Kinetic, which submits it through the update server with no file to handle, or with Save Request, which writes a Request File (.req) to transfer by other means.
4.Kinetic processes the request and returns a License File (.lic).
5.Click Register and select the supplied .lic file. Registration is complete, and the new block appears in the License Blocks list.
