Part Geometry - Dimensioning

The PrimeCut part geometry editor allows you to print a report that gives basic details for a part, including dimensions. The machine operator can use this report to check key dimensions of a part.
Editing of dimensions is done within the geometry editor. Often DXF files will be imported with dimensions, and it may be necessary to delete some of these so that only the critical dimensions are visible. If the part has no visible dimensions, then the user can add them as appropriate.
Note: Once a part has been imported its geometry is fixed, and its 'dimensions' become text appendages. Removing dimensions in the geometry editor will have no effect on the actual size and shape of the part. Do not confuse these dimensions with those shown in the shapes editor, which do control the size and shape of a part created from the shapes library.
Although this tutorial is based on metric units, all of the information will hold if you are using standard units.
